How to make BBQ pulled Pork
Question: how to make bbq pulled pork?
Danny, I truly love our seasoning and bbq sauces on pork. For an oven cooked pulled pork, I would use a bone in Boston Butt 7-9 lbs. Preheat oven to 350. I don't trim any fat off. I season all sides heavily with our all-purpose seasoning. I could state an amount of seasoning but the weight of the butt varies. Chose an oven rated baking dish with a lid that will accomodate the meat. Place fat side up in the dish, cover and bake for 3.5 hours. After three hours check the interenal temperature. The meat thermometer should read 165-170. If not cook until it reaches that temp. Remove dish from oven with pot holders and scrape the fat off the top of the butt, discard fat cap. Pour 1/2 bottle of your favorite flavor of Head Country Bar-B-Q sauce over the top of the meat and return to the oven uncovered for 45 minutes. When the internal temp reaches 190 degrees remove from over using pot holders again. Leave the meat in the pan, pull the bone out. Take two forks and shredd the pork. If desired pour the other half of the bottle of bar-b-q sauce in with the meat and mix. Serve with toasted buns and shredded cheese. I am getting hungry for some delicious pulled pork as I type this recipe. I am going to make this for supper tonight. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks, Paul
