Privacy Policy

OWS Foods and Head Country (“OWS”) recognize that many who visit our websites are concerned about how personal information they provide online is maintained and used.

To address these concerns and to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy, we have developed and implemented this privacy policy to promote transparency into how OWS gathers and uses information. It also informs users how to access and update personal information and make certain choices about how personal information is used. Keep in mind that our privacy policy is subject to change and updates.

OWS respects rights to data privacy and data protection when communicating (online or offline) with us. By using our websites, applications or by otherwise giving us personal information, users accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Any users who do not agree to this Privacy Policy must not use OWS websites or applications, or give us any personal information.

GATHERING AND USE OF INFORMATION

OWS collects personally identifiable information from visitors to our sites solely on a voluntary basis. Such personally identifiable information may include names, postal address, e-mail address, company name and/or telephone numbers, etc. (collectively referred to herein as “Personal Information”).

We do not sell, transfer, or disclose any Personal Information we gather at our websites to any third parties without prior consent, except in cases when we believe in good faith that we have a legal obligation to disclose such Personal Information. However, we may share Personal Information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, but they will be restricted to using such identifiable information only as necessary to perform services for OWS and as provided in our agreements with such third-party vendors.

We collect Personal Information primarily for the following reasons: 1) to e-mail consumers with updates and news, 2) to notify winners of contests, games, and sweepstakes, and to distribute prizes, 3) to send out brochures, etc., via regular mail to subscribers, 4) to distribute items that are part of giveaways, 5) for use in our online and off-line marketing and advertising campaigns.

There may be times when we share aggregate information about our users (for example, the percent of male and female visitors to our sites) with advertisers, business partners, sponsors, and other third parties in any effort to customize or enhance the content and advertising on our sites for our users.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

California residents may have the right to request and receive certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own marketing use, and users’ choices with respect to such disclosures. Because we do not share personal information with third parties for their own use unless the user is first given the opportunity to opt-in or out (as set forth above), we are exempt from having to meet this requirement. Contact OWS Foods Consumer Affairs (contact information below) to learn more about our compliance with this requirement.

CONTESTS/SWEEPSTAKES

We periodically run contests and sweepstakes on our sites for which we ask users/participants to provide contact information, such as their e-mail address. This information is used to contact the participant only when necessary, in accordance with the rules of the contest or sweepstakes.

COOKIES/IP ADDRESSES

Like many companies, OWS may use “cookie” technology to track consumer visits through our sites. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. They enhance the online experience by saving preferences during a visit to a particular site.

The cookies OWS uses do not contain any personally identifying information and cannot profile systems or collect information from hard drives. Although cookies come from many different sites, each cookie can only be read by the Web server that originally issued it. Users are not identified by name or e-mail address, but rather by a unique string of numbers that we assign each user upon an initial visit to our site.

We use IP addresses in two ways: 1) to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our websites, and 2) to gather broad demographic information.

LOG FILES

We (or a third party on our behalf) may collect user information in the form of log files that record website activity and gather statistics about web users’ browsing habits. These entries are generated anonymously and help us gather: 1) a user’s browser type and operating system, 2) information about a user’s session (such as the URL from which the user came, the date and time the user visited our website, and which pages the user viewed on our website and for how long), and, 3) other similar navigational or click-stream data. We also use information captured in log files for our internal marketing and demographic studies so we can constantly improve and customize the online services we provide. Log files are used internally only and are not associated with any particular user.

WEB BEACONS

We may use web beacons (or clear GIFs) on our websites or include them in e-mail messages. Web beacons (also known as “web bugs”) are small strings of code that provide a method of delivering a graphic image on a web page or in an email message for the purpose of transferring data back to us. The information collected via web beacons may include some of the information described in the IP Address section directly above, as well as information about how a user responds to an email campaign (e.g., the time the email is opened, where the user clicks in an email, etc.). We use web beacon information for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to site traffic reporting, unique visitor counts, advertising and email auditing and reporting, and personalization.

POLLS & SURVEYS

Information gathered from polls and surveys are only for the internal use of OWS. If sample answers to polls or surveys are posted on the website, then no identifiable Personal Information is ever included.

CHOICE/OPT-OUT

Our sites will provide users the opportunity to opt out of receiving communications from OWS at the point where we request information about the visitor. Users can simply follow the procedure outlined at each site. Likewise, we will provide users with the opportunity to change any personal information previously provided, or to opt out of receiving future email communication from us.

WHAT IS SPAMMING? DOES OWS SEND SPAM E-MAILS?

Spamming are unsolicited e-mails containing advertisements or marketing related materials sent to users without their consent.

We do NOT send spam e-mails. Sending e-mails without consent is illegal in many countries. We will not use personal information (including e-mail addresses) for direct marketing or follow-up communications unless we have express permission from the user. This is called “opt-in” consent.

Also, we do not share personal information with any third party who will use personal information for spam emails.

OWS websites give users the opportunity to receive marketing information by e-mail. Every e-mail sent by OWS will give users the opportunity to stop receiving marketing e-mails at any time.

Suspected spam e-mail from OWS or an OWS company should be reported immediately using the contact information below.
